ILLUSTRATION FOR DREAMWEAVER, MY BLACKLIGHT SENSITIVE CHILDREN'S BOOK PROJECT.
The image above is for my first blacklight sensitive children's book, called DREAMWEAVER. I started the book project in 1993, drawing the ornate and intricate illustrations for it. The images are reactive to UV Blacklight and have secret messages and hidden images that are invisible unless exposed to blacklight. It will be accessorised with a blacklight flashlight for reading under the covers or in the back seat of the car at night.

In 1993, I had a re-occuring dream about building a giant blacklight meadow and a city skyline for theatre. I began creating it ten years later, in 2003 for a band called Wookiefoot.
In 2004, I met Sean Doyle, who loved my vision and began constructing props based on my existing blacklight work, Over the years, he has grown it into an attraction he calls IMAGINE THIS.
MUSHROOMS FOR IMAGINE THIS
I have been making blacklight sensitive art for over a decade, creating imaginative books, bedrooms, backdrops and sets for film, theater and bands. The flower below is a section from a 60' long canvas I painted for Wookiefoot, a band in Minneapolis.
When it's exposed to UV blacklight, the canvas glows with color and when the lights are turned out, it glows in the dark.

I also do live performance art, where I paint under the ultra-violet light with UV sensitive paints to music while spectators watch. You may have seen me painting props, wings or backdrops at Project Earth, 1000K Lakes or The Harvest Festival at Harmony Park.

THIS WAS MY FIRST LIVE ART PAINTING AT THE PROJECT EARTH FESTIVAL IN 2005. THE PHOTO IS BY MARSHALL ARTZ. 
My similar line of glow in the dark wall paper, lamps, furnishings, bedding, pillows and curtains for the UV bedroom are perfect for kids who are afraid of the dark!
Can you imagine a bedroom painted with a giant meadow, bedroom furniture hand painted with blacklight sensitive paints that glows in the dark when you turn out the lights?

I have been commissioned to paint blacklight bedrooms, basement and party rooms with my unique style. I generally paint flowers, natural scenes and the Universe, since they are my favorite subject matter.
